DESCRIPTION:Students should have previous shooting experience and must understand the basics of handgun safety.  This intense\, introductory level handgun training course focuses on developing excellent shooting fundamentals and gun handling skills with the semi-automatic pistol or revolver.  It is an ideal follow-up course to our concealed carry weapons training.\n\n				\n\n				The following topics will be covered:\n\n				\n					\n						Basic firearm safety\n					\n						Fundamentals of shooting\n					\n						Mental conditioning and combat mindset\n					\n						Threat assessment and area scanning\n					\n						Rapid target acquisition and point shooting\n					\n						Use of the flash sight picture vs. perfect sight alignment\n					\n						Proper handgun draw and presentation\n					\n						Moving while shooting\n					\n						Moving to and shooting from a cover position\n					\n						Ammunition management/reloading\n					\n						Handgun malfunctions/corrective action\n					\n						Engaging threats from the ground\n					\n						Dealing with multiple threats
