The Logan County Art League is pleased to present a four-day workshop to teach older adults how to paint with watercolors. Woody Amidon, one of the areas foremost watercolor teachers will instruct the workshop with the aid of Nancy Bassitt and Annie King. Each day there will be demonstrations and lots of one-on-one instruction. The students will learn the basics of drawing and design, color mixing, and choice of paper, tools, and materials. A variety of watercolor techniques will be explored.
The workshop will be presented on the following Thursdays: August 10, 17, 24, and 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with an hour break for lunch. The workshop is focusing on older adults who have always thought it would be fun to paint, but were never sure of how to begin. The cost of the workshop is $50 and includes all materials. The workshop is limited to 10 individuals. There will also be two scholarships available to the upcoming Chris Leeper Workshop valued at $325 given to individuals showing promise and wishing to further their skills. The workshop is being sponsored by a pending Ohio Arts Council grant.
