Children who are grieving the loss of a loved one often feel alone. Sometimes, they try to hide their grief. Sometimes they feel as though adults don't understand or they might be afraid to talk to an adult about their feelings.
Camp Braveheart is an annual day camp for children ages 5-13. It is a safe place for children to learn to cope with their own grief and to learn that many other children are also coping with the loss of loved ones.
At Camp Braveheart they will be with other children who have lost loved ones. They will be surrounded by caring adults, trained counselors and hospice professionals. The camp is designed to the specific needs children have when they grieve and offers them a wonderful opportunity to laugh, play and create, as well as remember.
Children at camp will participate in fun activities such as horseback riding, rock climbing wall, archery, boating and fishing, and crafts.
