Details: Start summer off right by becoming a lifeguard for the Don M. & Margaret Hilliker YMCA! Join our lifeguard team and get both the class and membership free with starting pay of $9.00/HR
Prerequisites: Swim 300 yards continuously (6 laps), tread water for 2 minutes using legs only, retrieve a brick 7ft –12ft & swim on back within 1minute 40 seconds
* Limited space (10 participants).
REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 15 years old by the last day of the course attended
• Attend ALL training sessions
• Demonstrate competency in all required skills, activities and scenarios
• Pass a written test with a score of at least 80%
• Successfully complete the prerequisites
