Sometimes it helps to talk to other people their own age who have experienced a death.
Everyone grieves differently.
This overnight retreat creates an opportunity for teens to learn to cope with their own grief and to learn that many other teens are trying to cope with the loss of loved ones, too.
The weekend is designed for the specific needs teens have when they grieve and offers them a wonderful environment to laugh, socialize, and heal, as well as remember. They will be around other teens who have lost loved ones while surrounded by caring adults, trained counselors and hospice professionals.
Teens on the retreat will participate in activities like horseback riding, challenge courses, camp fire, movie time, a journey through a maze, and a service of remembrance.
There is no charge for the camp.
