The Holland Theatre Presents: The Hunchback of Notre Dame
From the Oscar-winning team of Alan Menken (Aladdin, The Little Mermaid) and Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin) comes the stage adaptation of Disney’s Oscar-nominated retelling of Victor Hugo’s story of love, acceptance, and what it means to be a hero. Hunchback features music by Menken, lyrics by Schwartz, and a book by Peter Parnell.
A stage adaptation of the 1996 animated film first premiered in Germany in 1999, with a new English-language production premiering at San Diego’s La Jolla Playhouse in 2014 followed by a run at New Jersey’s Paper Mill Playhouse the following year.
Windmill Productions will present this fantastic production, complete with a pit-orchestra and community choir. As always, youth tickets are available for just $5.00 thanks to support from LoCo Art and The Schumacher Group.
